Blue Byron Books started in 2018 by Rich Hebron. Four books were published through May 2020. Rich shifted his focus and energy on recording. He's posted over 400 episodes of Rich Conversations podcast, recorded live music performances (including Chicago and tours on the West Coast and Europe), and produced behind-the-scenes documentaries with the alternative supergroup, Bonelang. But he missed creating books.

Throughout 2024 Hebron attempted to collaborate with existing literary agents and publishers only to be rejected and mostly ignored. A realization occurred that the publishing institution is more reactive than proactive in creating American culture: they don't have vision. In December 2024, Blue Byron Books was resurrected, with The Boy and the Rocketship leading the charge.

In 2025, Blue Byron Books published 48 books of various genres and began growing with talented collaborators.

In 2026, Blue Byron Books is poised to grow exponentially with collaborators. Our aim is to publish the most cohesive and comprehensive output of original digital-native work than any other publisher.
